I am tired. And sore -- shoulder still isn't behaving. (It was a lot better yesterday, and didn't seem to get upset. I *might* have overdone it, more likely I slept on it bad.) Shifu worked on it after class, which helped, but I'm getting really frustrated with how many things I can't do. I'm thinking that maybe I shoudl just sit out sword for the duration -- that seems to get it acting up worse than anything else, even without the sword. (It's a form where you spend a lot of time extended through the shoulder joint.) Foo. I *do* like sword, but it's not going to hurt me to take a break. Shifu mentioned acupuncture to, which might be a good plan... too bad I feel broke and burned out on Dr's appts.
Just got a written apology from PSE about all those power outtages... heh. I guess that's what the neighbors who put together the petition bought us.
Yesterday was great. I am in love with Snake Turtle Qi Gong. First Qi Gong form that I've really clicked with. This one move -- "Golden Snake Coils Around A Tree" is now my all time favorite Qi Gong move yet. (Of course, it does call for a lot of shoulder rotation.) And generally Qi Gong is having a decidedly mellowing effect, which has been more helpful than I would have expected. And I practiced Master Feng's Chen, and Yang, and all my wushu combinations. *And* worked on both my hips and ankles, practiced stances, and spent time on the bike. Now that felt good.
