Specifically, again, about my sacro-iliac joint and its neighbors...

This is so weird. In a lot of ways the feeling is a bit like when they did some of the really serious breaking up of the scar tissue in my ankle -- it feels kind of open and mobile and like it's healing, but at the same time it's sore in this deep in the bones achey sort of way, and feels kind of torn up and vaguely burning. But when Craig rubbed me down with arnica, he could rub it into areas I could scarcely let him touch before... But I miss having it be nicely ignorable when someone isn't poking at it!

But the oddest bit is that I have this nagging bit at the back of my mind that this is how it felt when I originally injured it. (Perhaps suggestion, because when they tore up the scar tissue in my ankle it felt a lot like it had when I sprained it -- or at least, like it had a week or two after I sprained it.) And I have this vague pseudo-memory that I feel on it at a certain angle, and thought I'd broken my tailbone. Which is fairly likely, having fallen out of and off of a great number of things at various times in my life. (I wasn't particularly clumsy, I just spent a lot of time up trees, walls, cliffs, and other such things.) But then, I can't link it to a time, or remember a specific event, so it might be a completely manufactured bit. It would have had to have happened in my early teens or before, since I know I've had trouble with that part of my back since I was fifteen.

(I remember falling down the stairs on my tailbone once, but that was when I was a brownie. Second grade, maybe? I don't think that's it, somehow.)

Darn it, I also kind of vaguely remember it hurting for months afterwards. At least weeks. I expect more of my memory than this.

This is a pretty important part of the back, I should mention -- you can't move your hips without moving it. You can do any twisty stuff through the spine. You use it to walk, though mostly that's not a problem. Shifu's been saying I'm doing a lot better at moving from my center, and I'm wondering if that's why it's changing now... but while it's not completely stopping me, I'm really noticing all the times I use this area.
