Another good wushu class. This one notable because is was taught by Zach, our 16 year old assistant instructor candidate.

He kicked butt. Go Zach!

Specifically, my butt. And not just mine, I think. It was an awesome class, though. I even managed to kind of enjoy the wushu relay race.

Neck's feeling peculiar, but I think peculiar in a "moving in the right direction" sort of way. Left shoulder (which I strained last night) is grumpy, but actually less grumpy when I'm working out and my muscles are all warmed up. I think it will be fine in another day or two. Right hsoulder is also doing better, though it remains to be seen whether I'm up for sword with even the wood sword -- probably I'll know after class. ;-)

Now I get to try to drag Craig to Molbak's to pick out seeds for the garden, or at least out to the garden to keep me company while I weed and plant and stuff. And then clean the kitchen, and make brocolli salad and mushrooms and heavens only knows what else.

Oh, and the hike yesterday was lovely. Only the three of us, but [livejournal.com profile] plantae and [livejournal.com profile] craigp are excellent company. Really, more of an extended meander in the woods, and I could have happily just stayed at Barclay Lake. There are many beautiful lakes in the mountains, but relatively few that have nice waterside spots to hang out on -- and I've done my share of romantic conversations at the lakeside, ankle deep in mud...
