Last wushu class of the quarter
Jun. 22nd, 2003 07:29 pmGood class, glad we have a week off. The tight bit on the inside back of my left leg is now feeling like a slightly pulled muscle -- which will pretty much not show up for anything but wushu for everything, and crouch stances in Taiji and Bagua (and those only if I go from a low crouch stance into a low bow stance or something like that). Not a big deal for anything else, but *very* aggravating -- on my right side my kicks felt high and elegant, and on the left side stubby and cranky. Doing tornado kicks Shifu caught me wincing and made me sit out. A week off and being sane about it will probably do the trick.
I'm now officially down another chest size in bras (though I almost wish I could get them half a cup size larger, yup, surgery might be in my future) and the all cotton sweats I bought three months ago, wore once, decided were too tight across my hips and gave to Craig (who never wore them) now fit. In fact, they're decidedly roomy, and I keep pulling at them trying to figure out where exactly they used to bind. Very strange. They *are* the same pants. Did I just lose all the fat on my butt or what?
I still go back and forth about whether I actually look that much different. (I mean over the last year or so. Obviously getting my spine straight helped a lot.) I'll notice small things -- I like the way my arms are looking, for instance, even though I've been less regular about weights than I'd like because of the shoulder. I'm starting to like the way I look naked a bit better. But the similarities seem to far outweigh the differences.
