Sandwiched

tylikThat would be me, in my car (well, thank heavens for that) between two other cars. On my way through Woodinville, on my way back from a PT appointment (that was actually kind of entertaining, someone with more of a training background worked with me) I was stopped as a light and I was read ended pretty hard by a truck, and pushed into the car in front of me.
He hit me at an angle, and manage to squish his hood on my spare tire, so other than completely destroying my back bumper there isn't a lot of obvious structural damage to my car. (His car is kind of another story, but that's SEP.) My foot was on the brake at the time, so the impact with the car in front of me was pretty minor.
Luckily this all happened a block away from my doctor's office, so after the police came and took everyone's information I walked down there, begged an ice bag, and they looked me over. Prognosis is that if I had a "virgin neck", I'd feel completely like crap in the morning and for a bit afterwards, but it wouldn't be a huge thing. Since my neck has been around the block a few times, it's a lot more likely to be a problem. (My doctor was throwing around things like "might be a major setback" but since she wasn't my doctor when things were bad before, I'm going to take it on faith that she means a somewhat lesser major.) Currently I'm only in moderate amounts of pain, with a big ole icebag wrapped around my neck. I'm also dizzy, and kind of sick to my stomach. Oh, and I've taken a bunch of some nifty new anti-inflamatory analgesic thingie, and have a bunch of muscle relaxants too.
I'm home. I'll probably be home for a while.
