Aug. 7th, 2003 08:13 pmI finally got my drugs about an hour ago... Apparently some of the hold up was that they weren't going through my regular insurance (because I pay out of pocket and get reimbursed by my auto insurance). So I just took a couple and am hoping this time it doesn't take a couple of days to feel better. It shouldn't, I've healed a lot in the intervening month -- but it's still kind of depressing to realize how much there is to do. It's like suddenly "ow! I was in a car accident". Whereas I was mostly feeling like I was past the general pain part and dealing with a couple of specific things that weren't functioning right. And it's generally depressing to lose this much function after a couple of days off the meds.
It is kind of useful to take an inventory of where things are, though (I tell myself, in an attempt to make the best of things ;-) ) Lots of inflamation and instability around the SI joint. General whiplash type stuff. The right arm and shoulder (along the side, under the shoulder, too -- that's the new muscle strain discovery for the week).
So I skipped bagua tonight. I hate to miss, but for once I was pretty sure going was going to hurt, rather than help. And I'm really hoping that taking things easy now means I'll feel a whole lot better tomorrow.
