Aug. 1st, 2003 09:34 pmYou know you sound pathetic when the telemarketers tell you they'll call back later, don't even try to talk, just rest your voice ;-) I thought my voice wasn't really that bad -- I've had much worse laryngitis that didn't hurt a quarter as much. (
dianthus will remember me sounding like a moose...)
I have better energy today (of course, I got some sleep last night) and I think things are generally improving, but my throat is still very swollen and I'll go between feeling pretty decent for a little bit to suddenly out of the blue choking, having my inner ears hurt like crazy, getting a splitting headache, or getting really dizzy and sleepy. So I haven't done much of anything, and I really hope that this very very faint rash that's only really noticable when I'm in the bath doesn't mean I'm allergic to the antibiotics. Or doesn't mean I'm getting one of the horrible things strep can turn into if you don't stay on top of it (sometimes researching your current illness is really useful, sometimes it just gives you the heebie-jeebies.)
Oh, and can we get some rain? Really, I don't even mind if temperatures go back up again (actually, temperatures in the 70 are feeling comfortable, but in a chilly sort of way -- maybe that's the fever) I'd just like some rain. My rhododendrons are parched. I'm having to use city water on my gardens (the shame!).
