(no subject)

Okay, I wasn't just imagining it, I really am getting better. Still look like I have a mild case of mumps, and it's still trying to settle into my ears, but the antibiotics are starting to kick in. Don't know if I'll really be doing anything today even so, but at least I might be able to run a few errands or concentrate enough to read some trash fiction. (Wah! I'd really rather be able to write some trash fiction, but I'm not even sure if I'm up for even working on the lesbian regency romance which is there for when other kinds of inspiration fails me.)

I'm getting a little confused about Ebay. The basic structure makes sense, and the way things get bid up at the last moment -- actually, it's kind of cool how predictable many of the prices seem to be. But it seems very strange for people to spend more buying things on ebay than they could through other online suppliers... (I'm mostly looking at PDAs.)

Hmm.... considering picking up a Toshiba e740 -- because I can get it for less than $250, and it will do everything I want it to do (well, for the time being, current plan is that I'll pick up something for now, and Craig will inherit is if the Paron ever makes it to market...) though I know it's a flawed unit. Thoughts?

[edit: then again, after reading amazon reviews from people who bought it for about the same reasons I was considering buying it, I'm already thinking better of it... Wah.]
