Sep. 22nd, 2003 04:48 pmI actulaly found wool pants that fit. Okay, "fit" is somewhat debateable (they're pretty loose at the waist, but comfy enough everywhere else -- I might have been able to go down a size, but then again, they're men's and I figured I'd probably just be best off taking them in. And they didn't have them down a size. Better yet they're kind of cool -- cargos with ankle strap thingies, a not too hideous color. (Hey, it's army surplus, not too hideous is the best one can hope for, mostly.) Even cooler, they were selling wicking t-shirts for $6 and long sleeved shirts for $8 -- these are the nice silky feeling wicking base layers... This is the surplus store in Woodinville.
The last of the boletes are drying now, I think I'm going to have about a gallon, dried. Last night I made boletes and meatballs in a sour cream sauce for
craigp. Now I have an awful lot of bread rising, a sunny kitchen, a garden full of nice things to eat, and a portfolio to edit (having realized that I should start from the published versions, not my own drafts...) And stretches to do and dinner to make...
PTs out of the way for the week (synopsis: my ankles suck, but I can do a lot of things with them anyway), and the rest of my schedule is still up in the air. I keep waiting for bits of it to fall on my head.
