Jan. 15th, 2004 02:20 pmMy shoulder is getting better. Though pretty much the whole joint is inflamed (a reasonable thing, considering it was unhappy with life and then I did three classes) the rib is staying in place, and after a nice massage the muscles are starting to relax.
And as sore as I was last night (a lot of which was because of my shoulder -- triple class is hard, usually, but if something not quite working right it's a lot harder) after I went to bed I realized that other than my shoulder it was all a really good kind of sore. I mean, there I am, curled up in bed with a hot water bottle at my stomach* feeling how each and every fibre of pretty much each and every muscle of my body is fatigued and achey... and I realize it feels really good.
I don't think of myself as a masochist, honestly. But oh! I'd missed training over break, even as much as I needed the down time.
* The bedroom was really cold, so I took it to bed for my feet, since our bed always takes a while to warm up. But with two days of heavy ab work on top of cramps, my stomach appreciated it more.
