A good gear day
Feb. 10th, 2004 11:19 pmFinally got around to picking up some new shoes. Asics walking shoes -- seemed to offer the best combination of sturdy contruction and lateral support. Like them so far, though they're a little weird in low stances.
And then I bought myself some wicking undies. Yay! They fit perfectly, a soft and silk, and, well, wicking. Sopping wet underwear during/after wushu is really disgusting. (I've always been a fan of cotton before this.) I have a couple more pairs, and the other wicking high impact sports bra that is made in my size coming by mail...
And then I went to PT, and discussed with Kendall that while the taping last week helped a lot, I seem to have a particular spot in my mid back that isn't being supported. (Well, that's what's always out when I see my chiropractor. Even if it hurts elsewhere, he fixes that spot and I feel fine.) So we taped that instead. Whee! Much better. I think the next stop is to figure some strength training I can do for that region. (Which will be strange, but I think doable.)
And then chen with Lisa, and Wushu, and Chen at CWTA... mmm.
