Okay, so setting up the environment for the KR assignment had me screaming
and ranting and tearing out my hair (I was already overtired, but still,
it's been a while since anything on a computer aggravated me that much --
well, except perhaps certain news clippings) but the environment is set
up. I'm caught up on readings, I'm doing well on translations (though I
have another set to do before Wednesday), so if I can just get my project
working -- and it's not due until Thursday -- life should be good.

Too bad I was up too late last night, and had a seven am PT appointment!

First off, our best housekeeper ever, and dear friend, has returned to the area. (BTW, [livejournal.com profile] canyonwren -- Yang says "hi" and wanted to know how you were doing. She's doing well, and has a two year old son now...!) I don't know for certain that she's looking to increase her clientele, but as she's only recently moved back here it seems likely -- if anyone is looking for a housekeeper, I recommend her very strongly. She's great. (And my heavens, our house is all sparkly.)

For those of you who aren't lucky enough to live around Seattle... the last couple of days here have been gorgeous. Warm and bright and springy. (Admittedly, this often happens around the end of January, and then February closes in...) Flocks of joggers and bicyclists have taken to the roads, not to mention children with dogs in tow... I am feeling the call of the seed catalogs. And the rather less welcome beginning of tree pollen season, but oh well.

Hmm. I wonder if I have time to have a garden this year?
