Sep. 17th, 2005 12:15 pmFirst post from the barge. (Haven't moved the computer yet, so I'm on the PDA.)
I just had the best night's sleep I've had in quite a while. The motion of the water seems to calm me. It's also easier to sit still here. I woke up the first time around 5:30, to light and people on the water. I'm by myself on the barge, but there are more people close than I'm used to.
It's starting to sink in how close things are. I went to the PCC, and shopped, and found where everything I need lived, and came back, all in half an hour. I've unpacked pretty much everything I've brought with me. The sun has come out, the barge is rocking gently, and I was waved at by a small child who was carried by its father on the Burke-Gilman trail.
