Wrestling my bike up onto the barge, my keys broke free and escaped into the crack between the dock and the barge. As I can neither see, not persuade a pole to touch the bottom, I rather suspect that they are gone...

This is mostly striking me as rather funny (most of the keys I'll be needing soon I have replacements for). Though it will be less funny when I can't get into my office on Monday.

Woo hoo!

sea_gaagii pointed me to my neighbor, who has a magnet on a rope, and the neighbor came over with magnet, rope and stick. He warned me that it might take weeks, and my best bet was to wait until we had sunlight coming down at just the right angle, but we tried a test run... and I have my keys back!!!

First day back in the Wallingford space for wushu. Shifu was back, too. It was amazing how good it felt to be on track again. All is well with the world, and it wasn't just me -- everyone was early, no one could stop grinning the whole time. At the end, Shifu had us doing frog jump relays, and everyone decided to do an extra round at the end. Well, Shifu put a stop to that, since we were out of time, but it was no longer clear which team had won. This was relevant only because the team that finished last was supposed to do pushups. So about three people called out "Let's all do pushups!" And as one, everyone dropped to the floor and did pushups.

Okay, it was pretty silly, but in keeping with the mood of exuberance.

And I jumped. Pathetically, but I think it went okay with my back. Gah. It's been far too long, I feel like I'm going to have to relearn half of my jumps.
