So after feeling fairly miserable yesterday (I did eventually get back to the point I could think clearly, and got a few things done) I woke up feeling passable but not great. But I now have both a heat and ice pack in the lab, which is a good thing. I have little dignity to begin with. In fact, I gradually felt better as the day wore on, with a brief dip down when I sat in theatre style seats for a bit in the afternoon. Which is something I'm just going to generally need to keep an eye on. Fifteen minutes in theatre seats can mess my neck up pretty bad if it's in a touchy mood. So far other seats have generally been available, but I'll have to be keep an eye on exam rooms and things.
Anyhow, made it home, stretched some more, and went to wushu. Hip extensors are a little sore, not sure quite what's up with that, and I got off to a shaky start (well, a seeing stars start -- not sure what that's about, maybe low blood pressure? or just my neck muscles being a bit bound up) but then things calmed down and it was a pretty good class. Didn't do sweeps or arc back kicks, still, but I jumped, and my jumped sucked less. My cartwheels are pretty decent, too, though I'm still afraid enough of the floor that the first couple suck, and then I get my pacing. I'm starting to notice that if I kick up hard and fast, I don't put nearly as much weight on my hands... aerials can't be far away, right? (uh, yeah.) Not getting anything like enough altitude on the first leg with the butterflys though. Oh well. It's getting there. Even my v ups are getting better.
Oh, and it's bedtime. (thud)
