Okay, guys, what's up? I know the weather is nice -- and maybe it's been pretty nasty down in California -- but hello, January! It's awfully pleasant to wander around outside on a nice warm day, surrounded by robin's and stellar's jays and birdsong, but can this possibly be a good idea?
Or do you know something I don't?

In other news, I had my first allergic reaction to a green apple yesterday. I knew this might be coming -- raw green apples have another damn homologue to birch pollen allergen -- but I'd never reacted before. And it was a particularly astringent and starchy apple, so I'm thinking that might have been part of it. It's been 24 hours, now, and my mouth still vaguely itches, and my throat is a little sore and swollen. Meh. It also means that pollen-that-hates-me levels are starting to increase (which I'd kind of guessed from the hazel trees I'd seen). I am not cutting my allergies any slack this year.
Pretty sure this doesn't apply to other kinds of fresh apples. Oh, my, but that would suck.
