AAAAAAAAAAAGGGHHH!
Jul. 2nd, 2008 05:08 pmOkay, there's some really good news: the ankle isn't broken. I'm currently not intending to cancel my trip, life will proceed.
Yay!!!
However:
For this I sat in the ER - where I didn't want to be and only went under duress - for five hours. And then was bullied into staying on crutches that fried my back for the last two days, went to several more appointments, and just about went out of my mind.
And the good news is more important, and I am glad, and eventually I will stop hurting so darn much and will notice.
(Some explanation: There are bone chips or something like them in my ankle. These are either from previous avulsion fractures, or calcification from previous injuries. Neither seems particularly unlikely considering what balls of scar tissue my ankles are.)
