May. 15th, 2009 12:42 pmIt's kind of weird that one of the things I do regularly is draw lines in white paint spaced carefully every centimeter on sheets of nori. And then cut them up into strips of standardized sizes. Hey, it's science. It's also kind of like the diametric opposite of sushi.
My piano teacher once told me that JS Bach would sometimes have his students pay him in music paper. If I didn't have any with staves marked on it on hand, I'd just draw my own. But I was usually in a hurry, because I had something I wanted to get written down, so these were not necessarily better than any other part of my handwriting. My marked nori is much more precise.
