Jun. 26th, 2009 02:58 pmI just feel so lucky to have the martial arts folks that I do in my life. Which here recently has mostly meant my students and my neighbor. Teaching is such a privilege. I don't really know how to say it better than that. I learn so much from all of you. I really like the current group. (And we may start on some weapons work relatively soon, which would be great.)
Went out to dinner with people from yoga (it was right downstairs from the class, outside, and there was a waterfall - so much win). Managed to knock my glass over with my elbow, but then caught it before it hit the group. People were far more impressed with the latter than the former. (Really, I think it's about breaking even. Clutzy, but with lighting reflexes.)
Finally figured out that if I was going to get any coding done I needed to set aside dedicated time (especially in the morning). Once I did so, I realized that there wasn't enough time to get everything else done. Which is probably why I was having trouble getting coding done... Working on rearranging my schedule.

Apartment is dry. C. mountrouzieri are on patrol. Worms seem to be doing well. (As are planaria, at least as of a few days ago.) First tomato is almost ripe! I should try to get a bunch of pots and do some serious repotting.
As for my slugs... well, I have extra data points for the upper under of my anesthetic curve (er... large slugs are more likely not to recover from anesthetic - I have good metrics for slugs up to about half a kilo, but beyond that it gets chancy, but I'm getting better numbers for working out appropriate dosage for that range). I've had two notable mutants this week. Mostly I'm trying to focus on video editing and data processing, but I'm doing enough bench work to notice that for some reason a lot of my slugs are wanting to display their penises. I think it must be a time of year thing.
