Martial Arts Stuff this Weekend
Jan. 21st, 2004 02:14 pmSaturday Demo
Craig and I will be participating in a Wushu and Taiji demo this Saturday, at 1:00pm at Union Station. As part of a Chinese New Year Celebration. I think we're only going to be doing the Chen 18 this time around (this is the form I'm teaching, actually) though in our spiffy silk uniforms -- but the show will also include wushu and combat sets, and will probably be pretty entertaining. (Shiny weapons! Flying children!)
However, the event is usually a bit of a madhouse, so if you do come leave plenty of time to park and get there.
Free Tai Chi Open House
Our school is also hosting a free Tai Chi open house. If any of you have been interesting in checking out the school, this is a great opportunity. Hong Shifu and some of the assistant instructors will be demonstrating forms, and also teaching a short class covering basic taiji posture and general background on Tai Chi. More information can be found here.
