Beer Concentrate

I don't mean the brew it yourself at home kits, I'm wondering if you could make a beer concentrate, something liquid, say, that you could mix with cold water... I mean, beer is mostly water, right? Water and flavoring stuff... so you should be able to reduce... Oh, to one tenth the volume, I wouldn't be surprised...

Actually, I rarely drink beer, and don't even particularly like it. But I was thinking about backpacking food, and started wondering if it were feasible. On the face of it, it seems like a bad idea... but I bet it could be done...
