tylikThat was just so sweet, on multiple levels.
Craig and Tracey just spent most of the evening playing Wizard's Quest and Munchkin. Which was adorable, and also did a lot for my sanity, as I was feeling pretty dead. (I managed to clean a lot of dishes and cook dinner for us... But not much more.) I just persuaded Tracey into bed, though he's currently reading Elfquest. (Well, at least looking at the pictures, though he obviously recognizes a number of words though he claims he can't read.) The same copy of Elfquest I taught Lauren to read on, actually. (Or at least pushed her over from being sort of able to read but avoiding it to being an avid reader. I read her the first half. Then I stopped.)
Tomorrow we go mushroom hunting. And, if we have time, make pizza in the brick oven.
Being an Aunt kicks ass.
(Craig was making noises about D&D. Next time Tracey comes to visit I'll have to run a game. Gaming with kids is it's own kind of amusing -- one gets to be such a classicist, since after all they are unaware of the conventions of the genre.)
