Some days I really wonder if I've gotten this "how to be a grownup" thing down...

Yesterday I saw my acupuncturist. The low back is still being fruck, they've helped, and so far that puts them in a near unique position. So Serena, Dr. Chan's daughter (also now a Dr. Chan) was looking me over and asked "So do you think you might have a virus?"

"Well," said I "I've been a little stuffed up, so maybe something low level..."

She looks at me a bit more. (Serena is very polite...) "Have you been feeling achey and tired recently?"

The light goes on. "Oh... Well, yeah, but I'd been training at least four hours a day, and my back has been touchy. I thought it was just wushu..." (Actually this is a bit of a relief. I really had been just dragging...)

*sigh* Score one for being all in tune with my body...

(I think, really, that it's not that I'm not, but a) that there are so many variables it can be pretty hard to follow at times and b) being active is enough of a good thing for me that it often is good for me to push on even when I'm not feeling particularly well... which is still fairly often. Sometimes figuring out exactly which kind of not feeling well eludes me, though. I really believe that Taiji helps when one is sick... wushu is just kind of punishing.)
