Didn't get enough sleep last night. (Just got to bed too late.) Was coughing again, though in general I think I'm getting better. I ended up opting not to go to Wushu this evening. (I came close to opting not to go to Chinese -- it's an awful lot of commute for a single class, and I really wasn't feeling up to it. And then even less up to it after I spent the entire bus ride trying to translate a page which had been left in the class materials by accident, and involved all kinds of grammar we hadn't done yet -- though that wasn't a big deal -- and all kinds of vocabulary that wasn't even in my dictionary. That was a big deal. By the time I got to the class I was thoroughly demoralized, but the class went just fine.
I really am enjoying Classical Chinese. Not just for the subject, but the quality of people in the class. Both the Assistant Instructor and the TA have said that it's an unusually dedicated and interesting class. (Boltz, upon returning today said "I have been told again and again that this class is particularly good. So you now have a reputation, which you will have to live up to.") So perhaps I should judge the students in my other class less harshly.
I mean to spent the evening, having so reclaimed it, working on the midterm that's due next Thursday, but instead I have done almost nothing at all. OTOH, I have a solid start on the midterm. I should have mailed the professor about some ambiguity in some of the questions, though. I'm kind of in the mood to obsess about school projects, but I'm too tired and fuzzy headed to pull off anything more challenging than rote dictionary work.
Huh. Well, that's another really boring post...
