So there was a place I was specifically headed, where I wanted to practice forms. It's kind of exposed, so you can see if from a ways off. When I first saw it, I noticed there was a couple there (it was quite a ways off) so I took an indirect approach.
Forty five minutes later, they were still there, in a close embrace. Okay, I have some sympathy. It's a really neat spot. Just beautiful. But forty-five minutes! When I wanted to practice! So I climbed up on a ridge above them, and put on a warmer shirt, and had a bite to eat.
And for crying out loud, the spot they were in was a bit drafty. And exposed. No privacy. I mean, where I was sitting was pretty nice, out of the wind, places to sit, really much better cuddling ground. Pity I hadn't brought anyone to cuddle with. Whereas where they were was large and flat, and ideal for forms, darn it. Eventually the irony of being sequestered up on this rocky ridge, with trees around me, discretely spying on the people who were in the spot I'd like to practice in occurred to me...
So I moved to a slightly less discrete spot, and peered down on them, vulture like, while I checked my email. And indeed, eventually they did move on.
On the plus side, it really was worth practicing there.
