Mostly it's because I've been busy, philosophical arguments aren't as interesting as political intrigue, and most of the sections I've type up have been too fragmentary to post. (Though I should write up the bit about sacrificing cows and using their blood to consecrate sacred bells.)
This is a draft. A particularly drafty draft, especially since there's this one character I just can't find...
There is that which constitutes the words of Shen Meng: permissible conduct. The of Xu Xing visited the school, and then spoke to Wen Gong, saying "The people of distant places hear the Lord implements humane government, and want to receive an allotment of land and become our people."
Shen Meng was a thrice exaulted lord. Blazing Emperor was Shen Meng's clan. Xu is a surname and Xing a personal name. Making things orderly constituted the way of Shen Neng. Zheng is arrived. Chan is a dwelling place. He praises himself, (saying) the people of distant places want to become (his) people. Meng here means rustic people.
Wen Gong joined with him to dwell. His disciples number ten people. They all wore coarse cloth, plaited straw sandals and wove cloth in order to live.
Wen Gong joined with him to dwell, living in a house. His disciples are property. Wearing coarse cloth implies poor. Tying is like knocking or rapping. As for delicate sandals, you want them to be firm, therefore you rap them. As for , sandals and cloth, these are used to get drink and food.
Chen Shen's disciple was Chen Xiang. He, together with his brother Ku, bearing the plow and plowshare and then themselves of Song, saying: "I heard that the Lord implements the governments of sages. This is also an sage. I want to be of a sage's people."
Chen Shen is a confucian scholar. Chen Xiang is Chen Shen's student and disciple. Ku is Xiang's younger brother. The government of sages refers to humane government.
Chen Xiang saw Xu Xin and was greatly pleased. He exhausted and cast off his studies with regard to it.
He cast of Chen Shen's Confucian way, and instead studied Xu Xing and Shen Meng's way.
Chen Xiang met with Mengzi. Regarding the way, the words of Xu Xin, saying: " If the lord is , then he is truly a virtuous lord. Although this is so, he hasn't heard of the way, yet."
Chen Xiang said Xu Xin is that which is regarded as a lord, and yet he hadn't succeeded at arriving at the way.
As for the virtuous, they join with the people and plow, and then eat. He eats breakfast and supper and then manages (the country). As for the present. If has silos, granaries, storehouses, and armories, then this is oppressing his people and then by this means nourishing himself. Wherein has he achieved virtue?
Xiang speaks Xu himself considering himself to be a virtuous lord of old. He ought to join with the people to plow and then other and himself can live off of his strength. Yeng and sun are meals. Morning is Yeng, and afternoon is sun. He ought to he, himself, prepare his food, unite and bring order to his people, and that's all there is to it. Instead levies taxes and (thereby) has a wealth of silos, granaries, storehouses and armories. This is oppressing and making sick his people and thereby honoring and nourishing himself. Stability gets to constitute the virtuous lord in relation to the time of the thrice exalted. As a matter of fact, the subject lack affairs and therefore the way is like this.
