tylikThe guy from the MS Grant got back, hasn't yet found the OLAP contact I need, but did more research into OLAP, and yeah, it should do what I want it to do, and yeah, it should be able to import the data the way I want it to, but he wasn't able to get it to do so on his box, yet. Which is validating, and pretty much confirms my experience. I will even more validated when I can find out how to get the sucker to work, though.
Importing data by hand is amazingly tedious. (When I say "by hand" I mean "using standard import tools instead of scripting the imports".) What I'm doing right now just small enough that it's not quite worth slitting my wrists over, though...
Meanwhile, I have a bunch of Chinese homework to do, but would like to rant at some length about Hero, which I saw again today. Before I just thought I wasn't wild about it. Right now I'm leaning towards disliking the movie somewhat profoundly and all the more so because there are parts of it I like very much. And it's not just the handling of the Qin emperor, or glorification of suicide (specifically really dumb suicide) though those parts do feature in my larger problems with the movie.
