So this morning, after watching the sun rise, and reading a little between glances across the water and the city out to Mt Ranier, I headed down from the sleeping loft, still in my purple organic cotton night shirt... and who should I see but Larry, one of my classmates from CWTA, in Chen, walking along the dock outside my window. I was vaguely aware he worked right across the street, but apparrently his business partner also owns a boat at the same moorage, and their company is looking at upgrading the electrical. So I invited him in for a quick chat and Whee! with some luck I'm going to have a local practice partner. (And a local practice partner who knows Laojia Yilu better than I do, too. He's one of my favorite people to train with.)

Hard to get a better start to the day than that.

Oh, but finding out that Wholesoy Soy Yogurt is in fact pretty decent helps. (Yogurt and granola is one of my favorite breakfasts, but I really haven't been feeling like facing dairy first thing in the day recently. So this is perfect.) And then there's the fresh figs.
