A few answers

Did you know that one of my long time, though not frequently mentioned, ambitions is to be an acoustical engineer? I'm pretty much equally interested in noise abatement as I am in designing spaces to carry sound well. And it's not something I know nearly enough about... but then, every few years I read up a little more on it, and the state of the art often seems kind of underwhelming. Hmm. Well, so it's not really something I know, except that I know I'm interested in it.
Or did you know that I was fairly serious about calligraphy in my teens? Western calligraphy, not Chinese. My mom made me take a class on it, but then it suited my purposes to continue with it (though my handwriting just got weirder, so I guess it didn't suit my mother's purposes). I got fairly proficient in a number of styles, too, though my favorites were some of the older blackletters, and carolingian. I also got into making my own pens, mostly out of wood and bits of shell (never really cared for quills for that purpose). Did a little papermaking, and a fair bit of bookbinding, too. But even if you didn't know that, it's not particularly surprising, is it?
"What is the weather going to be like tomorrow?"
According to NOAA, rain in the morning, clearing up to sun and scattered showers in the afternoon, and then showers in the evening. Sounds like enough of a mix that some of it will be true ;-) I was thinking of going up to Deception Pass and climbing around on the rocks.

Yes, especially if someone else provided the rum. It reminds me a bit of a mint julep, which I liked quite a bit though I will probably refrain from drinking one and then teaching taiji in the future.

Hypatia (mostly in terms of addressing the largest cluster of interests that come to mind). Or do you mean someone alive now?
