datavore has put together a new incarnation of the six degrees social networking site, Six More Degrees. I'm not familiar with the old site, but the idea is that not only do you link to people you know, but there is a great variety of types of links, anything from "Would bear the children of" to "disgusted by". sixmoredegrees. It's a cute toy. And it's currently on a server in his home, which makes it especially fun to hammer.
In other news, I'm mostly through the expanded outline, which is usually my last step before sitting down and writing seriously... And the outline is multiple pages long. I'm starting to really wonder how long this thing will be... (So much background data that I take more or less for granted starts really taking up space when you lay it all out.)
