Jun. 27th, 2006 05:52 pmFriday: Didn't have a headache until afternoon, and then it was kind of mild. Met with Lauren and Tracey to practice wushu. Considerable and expected soreness in hip adductors.
Saturday: Went hiking. Hiking good. Bit of a headache from postural problems on the drive back (and, er, dehydration) Came home, decided to bike up to Cap Hill. Became bike trip from hell. Pieces flew off the bike. The bike bit me. I was decorated with bands of chain grease. Attempt to reattach pieces of bike led to metal failure in one piece. Abandoned bike at
Sunday: Mellow Taiji class. Ran errands. Read trash fiction. Retrieved bicycle. Mildly headachey.
Monday: Worked in yeast lab. Returned to comp lab to work on paper. Went over paper with A, ran errands and got lunch on bike (bike is now repaired and cheerful again). Returned to lab, increasing headache. Decided that I ought to go home, but my office was air conditioned. Read for a bit. Put an icepack on my back and tried to work. This kind of worked, but when I left my head hurt so much I was nauseous. Returned home to stretch and teach Taiji. Taiji, as usual, made everything better.
Tuesday: Went in, met with Valerie, spent several hours plating yeast. (Which is oddly relaxing and satisfying, in a repetitive anal retentive sort of way.) Returned to lab, messed with latest datacube, got headache. Dropped to the floor and did ten iron buffalos. Headache cowered in fear. It was just starting to come back in time for the Young lab meeting. Attended meeting, headache generally got worse, but hey, the Young lab has way better food. Biked home. Anticipating going to Quantum and having my butt kicked.
