tylikMet with lawyer to try to get the accident thing settled. (This is the June 2003 accident.) I apologized for putting it off until the last minute, he told me it was refreshing to deal with someone who wasn't obsessed with the accident injuries and who treated the matter like a business transaction. The kid who hit me is still employed by the same company. (His boss told him that if a claim was filed from the accident he would lose his job.) That's a little weird, but other than running into me he was kind, and he'd had a pretty lousy few days. I do wonder if there was some attempt to manipulate me into not filing a claim.
Talked with S. about the design paper (i.e. paper the second or third, but since I'm revising the design portion of the initial paper, something I've been thinking about). He seemed interested and surprised by some of my ideas, but didn't have much to say. Once I get the first paper finished, I need to set up a hard date for the MS talk. These damned headaches are really cutting into my productive time, though.
Quantum provided just the butt kicking I needed, Tuesday. Felt much better afterwards. However, it's seeming like on good days I have about five hours of working time before the headaches cut in. Today I started with a headache. Kind of an odd one -- my back doesn't seem to be too fucked up, it didn't get that much worse all things considered, and there's more occipital nerve involvement than is usual. I'm going to do some serious stretching tonight, and maybe work on some of the wushu stuff I've been neglecting, and try to get back to Quantum tomorrow, I think.
