What a strange day...
Aug. 13th, 2006 07:13 pmSo I stopped by Soul Food books after Taiji this morning, having never been to their new location (which is indeed lovely, and it's nice to see that Redmond has another good coffee spot, as Victor's has gone so sadly downhill recently) thinking to grab some chai and edit the paper.
But the woman behind the counter had a degree in molecular biology and an interest in nursing and physical medicine. Forty-five delightful minutes later I left, no editing have been done.
Then I stopped by Bartell's to pick up some things for the trip... and ran into
jaunthie, who was one of my dearest friends all during the time most people spend in highschool, and I mostly did not. Who I hadn't seen in probably fifteen years. (And who looks almost exactly the same. Darn.) Much getting in other people's way while chatting ensued.
Then I stopped by
eveanhei's place, to drop off a lot of yarn, both hand spun and commercial, and various emplments of making yarn and things that makes stuff out of yarn. (The process of divesting myself from those possessions that aren't being used goes on. Yay! Giving away stuff is quite entertaining.)
And then I got home, to find that Linda Bierds replied to my mail. (She had been a mentor to me, and generally one of my favorite people ever, when I was an undergrad, and I sent her a letter and some of my poetry some months ago. Didn't hear back, didn't think much about it.)
But I still need to finish editing this damned paper. I really want to hand it to V before I leave...
