Edit: This is my 2000th entry. Not to say it's particularly memorable, but... it's something.


As I alluded to briefly in an earlier entry, I am hacking my diet a bit. Yep, this is in part a result of K and I spending a lot of time cooking for eachother over my vacation. It's kind of a direction I've been heading for a while -- I'm putting even more emphasis on whole grains and other nutrient dense foods, and being a bit more organized about eating fruits. I'm cutting back a bit more on those few processed foods that I do eat. A lot of it is more organizational than anything else. My current schedules means that I often eat two meals a day on campus, and I haven't really been planning for that adequately, which means I end up both spending more money and eating bad food. :-P

Anyhow, I've been feeling great. A little bit too not-hungry most of the time -- I will forget to eat if I'm not careful -- but energetic and alert and all has been good.

Except... So the cereal I've been making is great stuff, rather preposterously healthy and all, and quick and not a hassle to deal with. It is also low on the glycemic index. Today I went to wushu. Warms ups were great (I hate doing splits on hardwood, but I like completing them). When we did fundementals, I was nice and flexible, but had no spring whatsoever. It was really hard. Which was odd, because I've been doing a lot of ab training, but... I figured I'd missed a few muscle groups and was paying the price for slacking. Then came forms. And while I still felt relaxed, and not tired, and wasn't breathing hard... I was also weak and light headed. (Which is a really odd combination.)

I've had problems with eating foods without enough readily availalbe carbs before wushu before, but then I got hungry. This time I didn't. Eventually I decided that this was silly and ate a luna bar... But even more than an hour after the class was done, I still feel peculiar. Not bad, just peculiar.
