tylikSo this morning I did conditioning in the apartment, and went out to do forms around dusk. A few of my neighbors were having a picnic, so I moved a bit away from my usual spot to give them room, and started practicing. No big, since that late the whole area is in shadow (I usually practice under the big tree because I don't want any of that sunlight getting on me).
Then they started making requests. "Did you bring your swords? Really, she has these swords! Those are my favorite." I don't think I'd ever seen them, but I guess they'd seen me. As it happens, it was indeed weapons day, so I was able to oblige. Practicing in public can be strange. Someone else who might come down and join me someday. (I'm halfway tempted to post something about starting a morning class in the laundry room. Except I've always done only the word of mouth thing before, and I kind of like that.)
Getting my white board hung up PASS
Getting the cabinet reassembled, glued, and the hangers in place PASS
Sinuses FAIL
Menstruation FAIL, fail, fail...
Banana raspberry chocolate smoothie PASS, with honors (more ice next time, though)
Carnivorous plants PASS (shipped across the country, but apparently happy in their new pots)
Getting the maple counter organized, and the microscopes set up PASS
Email programs that eat painfully composed messages FAIL
Discovering that I have said message in a buffer in my head PASS
