So I took this (having seen it in
who_is_she's journal, mostly because the quiz worked just fine on my PDA, so I could work on it in between bits of the experiment. (Science is fun. But there is a lot of "and now we wait for twenty minutes...")
I thought it was pretty funny, but mostly because I broke its algorithm. It had such recommendations as getting more vitamin C and folic acid (when in fact I should get enough just fine without supplementation -- I realize my diet is unusual, but they could've asked...). Eating more fish to get more omega 3s (I wouldn't mind eating more fish, but I get plenty of omega 3s via flax seeds). That I should take in more unsaturated fats without increasing my total fat intake (darn near impossible, as I get almost no saturated fats -- I just have a very low fat diet). I should also increase my HDL... again, I know where they're getting this, but I have an absurdly low total cholesterol, and more than half of that is HDL.
Oh, yeah, and they think I should consider reducing the total amount of exercise I get, as I'm well above the level proven to be beneficial. (Fuck that.) But I should also lose weight, by eating a diet higher in unsaturated fat, I guess, because the BMI says I'm overweight (unless I'm carrying it mostly as muscle, which you think they might have expected from my level of exertion. Actually, I think I should be carrying a bit less fat, though it seems to be taking care of itself.)
Oh, and I should buy a bigger car. Yeah.
