The new training routine seems to be working. I'm spending more time doing forms -- not sure if I'm getting all the intensity I'd like, but it's at least doing okay. I'm spending less time stretching, but I'm getting more out of it. My fronts splits felt really good today. Not quite the equal of the best I've ever done, but in that range. (I suspect I'll be better than I've ever done soon -- I'm training them more consistently than I'd done before, and for a long time the SI joint instability led to some chronic tightness problems that meant I just wasn't getting anywhere.) Though stretching splits in shorts sucks.

There still is part of me that is kind of amazed -- I always thought I had horrible flexibility when I was a kid. I never came close to being able to do splits. Not the kind of thing one expects to gain after thirty. Need to push the ab drills. (Need to do more kick drills. This is where I wish I had somewhere a tad more private... really, no one needs to see me doing butterflies right now. *sigh*)

I now have a local bank account. Go me.

Next I have to set up meetings with at least two of the four, no, wait, five, people I'm considering for my next rotation.

Did I mention how much I like my current lab?

Oh, and figure out this classes thing.

One of these days I'm going to make it over to Coventry.

One of these days I'm going to figure out what I need to do to start a Chen class at the gym. I should stop putting that off.
