tylikFor this morning's practice I had an audience -- two kids, I'd guess around 3 and 5, Japanese I think (from the part of the disagreement with their parents I overheard)... They called out hello when I started, and I called back, and picked out a spot that would allow them a good view. They were so quiet during Laojia Yilu that I'd thought they'd left, but when I finished and saluted they cheered.
Sometime later (during cannonfist?) they had what sounded (from their side) like a disagreement with a parent, possibly about coming away for breakfast. I think it was resolved with both of them eating at the window.
It was also a good practice. Not only were the low stances feeling good, but I found myself wanting to do more of the hard fast changes in elevation. Might start playing with longfist again just because it pushes the conditioning again.
Wonder if there's room to start a kids' class?
