Mar. 1st, 2008 09:56 pmOkay, that was a little weird. I was playing around with my harp. Battery was out on my tuner, so I tuned it *very roughly* by ear. See, I have a tuner because otherwise I can spend hours on the harp. (Pitch changes over the duration of a note, and my pitch sense is good enough that it's hard for me to leave it alone if I listen that hard. I also hear pitch better than I can hold pitch while singing, and let me tell you how aggravating that is.) So I did the "think of what middle C sounds like on a piano" and tuned from there. Spent all of two minutes on it, play a few things, corrected where notes really bugged me, and then it turned out K had a 9 volt battery.
So I sat down with the tuner... and the damn thing was pretty close to perfect for C=440. *blink* Funny thing is, I haven't really played piano in years, either.
