Apr. 2nd, 2008 02:43 pmQuick update -
Had a very low key weekend, and my spine calmed down a bit. (And studied, and cooked, and stuff like that.) Felt pretty darned good on Monday. Apparently when I feel good I'm likely to do things like bounce into my PI's office and say "I think I'm going to start on my computational model of the odontophore!" Who've thunk it? Big exam, so it was a good day for feeling decent.
Then yesterday I saw the new PT. Did a lot of strengthening stuff, focusing on the scapular muscles. My back really likes the new exercises. Unfortunately, my neck decidedly does not, and I got more and more headachey, and then dizzy, and then nauseous, and eventually left class early and went home and to bed. (This wasn't anything like "PT sends me to the ER" levels. But it's the worst PT reaction I've had in something like four years.)
Resting helped, feel a fair bit better... but still kind of dead today. Talked to the PT. He was appalled. (I am more chagrined, both that I didn't anticipate this response and that I'm broken enough to have this response. How annoying.) But had a good sparring session, and forms really helped. Didn't get a mock up of my poster done, but then neither did anyone else. (Unless K's content-free poster counts.)
Won't be presenting my most contraversial data yet. *sniff* But hey, maybe it'll be ready for neuroscience...
I have a bunch of stuff I really want to write about the importance of sangha but who knows when that will happen...
