I will put this in Seattle time, for emphasis.
Wednesday evening, I slept from six to midnight. I really tried to get a couple of hours of sleep beyond that, but it wasn't happening. (I suspect I'd been eating far too lightly the last few days - two small slices of rye bread with peanut butter and a bannana might not really count as dinner...) So I went about my day, studied, worked with undergrads, sparred, trained, packed, etc. etc. At 5:45 I got on a plane. At eleven something I arrived in Seattle. I attempted to sleep for much of the plane trip, with limited success.
I then slept from about 1:30-6:30. And now I am awake. Eh... kind of. I think I will try to nap at some point today, but I don't know how well I'm likely to do with it. (I wouldn't even bother, but the retreat starts today, and muscles don't recover well enough when not rested. And I want to be awake to see everyone! Mind, awake isn't usually the problem for me.)
Now... well, my body is dreadfully confused at to where and when I am, but it's morning enough that it's clear I should a) stretch b) eat c) do math d) find someone to spar with e) do forms practice. I am apparently a creature of habit.
