tylikThe weekend has been pretty intense. In a good way. I've fallen in love with cannon fist*, and am pretty happy on what I'll be working on for the next... well at least several months, but I expect it will be a longer process than that. Lots of information. A lot of things I need to think about a lot more before I write about them (if I do).
But, the big news:
Hong Shifu is now formally a disciple of Chen Laoshi.
I'm really, really happy for her.
* Yeah, I've been studying it for something like five years. And it's not like I disliked it or anything. This is just different. And... I think maybe I've finally ready for it. I was always a little dubious about when I learned it, as traditionally it's only taught to pretty advanced students - Master Chen had been working on Laojia Yilu for fifteen years before he learned cannon fist, I think. (Zach said "Isn't it sad we'll never get a chance to train like that?")
