tylikBack to forms with my neighbor - who remembered which day I was coming back, and (I suspect) was badgering his family for appropriate English phrases. And I got a much more detailed accounting of the Great Power Outage than the one K had given me, including being shown some of the more impressive broken trunks of trees. I think we also surprise/confused the heck out of one of the new residents - at least, to guess from the look on her face when she pulled open her blinds to see who was having the cheerful conversation in (in my case terrible) Chinese right outside her window. (I suspect she understood us - it did seem more surprise than annoyance.) And then we did forms.
As I was getting ready to go down, K asked if I was up for sparring. Which I completely was, excepting having a date with my forms partner. So we'll be working that back into the schedule. Maybe this is my actual birthday.
I wondered a little how I would feel about coming back, considering what a great trip it had been*. And then I decided that wondering was foolish, and I would just be there, and then I would be traveling, and then I would be here, and enjoy them all as best I can. And it's good.
* And yeah, chances are that if you aren't someone I train with, I didn't see you. I'm sorry! It was great to focus this much on training, but that ended up meaning that I barely did anything else.
