Having a seam ripper can be like having superpowers. Okay, only a little. Still. Took in the elastic on those pants three inches. Maybe they will consent to stay on now?
Running: Hasn't been going so great. First there was the great pollen explosion, and not so much with the breathing - so I shifted the meds around. Then I got sick. And now most recently the S1 munging that is referring pain to my foot has been a lot worse. In fact, I finally went to the doctor over the s1 munging*. But today, when I was late to Teisho** I ran off and on much of the way there... and it felt good.
Of course, now my sacrum is munged again, and my heel is trying to tell me that it is being attacked by hot coals and rusty knives.
* It does help that I go to my doctor, explain that I have referred pain from S1 irritation, and have her ask a bunch of clarifying questions, but take me seriously.
"So this is only in the right leg?"
"Well, no, but the other leg hurts because whenever my sacrum is misaligned the pyriformis gets tight and puts pressure on the sciatic nerve. But that's really distinct and easy to recognize."
*later*
"You're sure it's not plantar's tendon fasciitis?"
"Yes" *provide list of ways in which it does not conform to diagnostic criteria.*
"Right, then."
** Upshot of doctor's appointment is that I'm on low doses of a familiar med. Which I'm only taking at night, except last night I forgot, so I took it in the morning because I figured I wouldn't do well sitting without. And it seems it does make me... not so much spacey as just doing odd things to my attention. I had a very enjoyable walk. I knew exactly where I was. I kind of lost track of where I had meant to be though... doh!
