I think I mentioned that I was going to write up a review of the teas. So:

White Peony: (they have two, this is the organic one): I'm not sure I knew there was such a thing as a big white tea. It is big, and somewhat floral and spicy. There is a lot going on in this tea. I like it a lot. (Their Silver Needles was not organic. So I didn't buy it. Sadness.)

Buddhist tea: To me this tea tastes a bit fermented for a green tea. The leaves are twisted - might that have something to do with it? Good, solid tea, nice rich, dark flavor. However...

Heavenly Blue Summit: I think this might be my platonic ideal of a green tea. An absolutely perfect level of astringency. It tastes fresh, and green, and light... it makes me think of drinking from a stream of very recently melted snow up high in the Alpine region of the Cascades, when the water is so cold that it almost hurts your mouth. Um... I almost don't know why. I am wild about this tea. I told K: "This is what a green tea should taste like. And I don't even know where I got that opinion..." K: "From your Aunt Michiko." Me: ... Yeah, maybe.

And I'm told that West Coasters can get Silk Road teas at Whole Foods.
