Timing and such -
So, to those of you have have a clue about running and such (which is decidedly not me). I'm trying to get a feel for what a good schedule would be. I had been doing the every other day. Then I decided to do the every day. Honestly, that was pretty great, except by the ninth day I was feeling kind of thrashed. (On the other hand, I was also coming down with a sinus infection. Which might have something to do with why my asthma had been getting so bad, too...) Anyhow, I was a bit chewed out by my doctor... So, I'm trying to decide how to approach this next.
1) I could run every other day. On the non-running days, I could do other stuff. Like plyometric ab exercises. (Plyos are love! I need a dorky little rainbow to go with it.)
2) The thing is, running a mile just isn't all that much. Once I get a bit more used to things, what I'd like to do is run a mile most days, and 2-3 days a week run further. (The total distance somewhat limited by my total time - because I'm not cutting into forms practice. Or at least not much.)
3) Or maybe run a mile everyday, but take it easy on my not longer days? Sh says this is generally not considered a good idea and I should take two days off... But it's such a great warm up.
Thoughts?
