I would like a new pair of ankles. Don't need to be new, but I want them in good working order without too much wear...

Hopefully, the ones I have are getting better. I'm at that point where sometimes they're acting better, and sometimes they hurt fairly badly, and sometimes they're wobbly enough that I get a sore knee and/or hip. I think the new regimen of stretches and exercise is helping, but I won't know for certain for a while... Meanwhile, they behave pretty well as long as I don't wear my felt soled shoes for more than about an hour and a half (generous estimate) at a time. Unfortunately, the two classes I have where I really like to wear them are back to back, and I wore them to both on Monday which is probably why I'm in a world of hurt now. Maybe I will try the duck tape idea.

Heidi said something about there being a bunch of scar tissue in the muscle that isn't letting stuff move right. (Of course, there are also underlying alignment issues, which have been partly corrected and who can say what causes what at this point.) Made it through my classes today, with just one brief break to bind up the right ankle. And hey, my neck is doing pretty darned well -- scalines in particular are just great, and the sub occipitals are at least quiet for the moment.)

Did I mention that when I got around to taking off my shoes and socks after I got home, my right ankle was swollen and kind of purplish green? Gah.
