So, running three miles on Saturday isn't really a big deal in terms of distance (best time, but I think I've adapted enough to running that I could do better, or the same for rather longer, because I wasn't seriously pushing myself).

However, there was a slight incline. Not enough of an incline to really notice in terms of stamina. But I've had this history of achilles tendonitis, and it gets worse when I run on hills, and even that silly little incline and a run on the longer side was enough to get to the edge of it. A lot of AIS yesterday (well, except when I was at the half day sitting, which way, you guessed it, about half the day - seven hours or so). Still sore this morning, though not terrible, but with the faintest twinge of plantar's tendon fasciitis. So I had to wonder if it was prudent to run today, even though it's another running day.

Eh. I decided that a flat mile was the better part of valour. (And I suspect that the plantar's twinge might be an alignment issue, which I am working to correct.) Which felt great, except at the end, my body felt kind of cheated. ("Hey. I thought we were going running. That was just a warm up." Which is pretty much what my body does when it gets used to any physical activity.) I'm trying to be careful about the stretching today, too. Though I'm wearing the earth shoes, which have that 3% incline of their own.

And then I went and spent an hour doing what I suspect is some of the best forms work of my life. I wish Shifu were closer. ("Lookit! Lookit! Check out what I figured out! ...um... am I doing this right?")
