tylik* Today I saw Dr. Awesome, and he said the headaches sounded like occipital nerve entrapment. Which seemed likely - when I poked at them I could more or less trace the path of the occipital nerve by touch (well, two branches on one side and one on the other). Because it was all sensitive and stuff. So he grabbed his tools and did a block right there. (And I really like the new Fellow.) So, right now I hurt a bunch, but I think it's in the right way.
* Which probably means that the likelihood of spine surgery is a bit down today.
* We've been really winning on the moving box thing. I should go home and pack more, since I'm realistically probably done with labwork for the day.
* The clipless pedals combat achilles tendonitis hypothesis seems to be checking out so far. I like the idea of biking more in support of running more.
* OTOH, yesterday I ate a duck egg. In my mouth, it was strangely not like food. My stomach and intestinal tract seem to agree. I have mixed feelings about this. Perhaps it will be this trip back where I realize I cannot eat even vertebrates in the form of sushi without IACUC approval.
* I danced a bunch at the wedding. The middle eastern dance influence was a lot stronger than most times recently - I eventually realized it was because I was wearing a fairly long, full skirt. About the time I did a move or two that really work better when one has hair. I was a little embarrassed until I hit the floor itself. I really like dancing, even when I'm feeling completely a little culturally out of my comfort zone. (Uh, wait, there are children on the dance floor, and everyone's clothes are street legal. Also, I don't know if my dancing is miwest appropriate. But everyone was totally sweet, and J's family are really cool.)
