Oct. 31st, 2002 11:04 pmThis makes for the most bitterly cold Samhain I can remember...
Between the cold and the dry, the big leaf maple leafs have piled up into crackling drifts. The sky is very dark, and the stars very clear and bright.
We walked the bounds, bundled up (I kind of wish I had covered my ears) and came back home to stand in front of the brick oven. Makes for a good night.
The kitties think we're mad. Usually the escort us down the driveway if we're letting them out at all. Tonight they stayed inside by choice.
